Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a Housekeeper at The Temple Gardens Centre in Moose Jaw, SK. Under the direction of the operations/housekeeping supervisor, you will perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks to standards for daily operations and after events. This full-time role pays CAD 16.00 to 17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience cleaning a business facility preferred.
  • Must have WHMIS, First Aid, CPR, and AED or be willing to obtain them in the first 3 months of employment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, extended workdays.
  • Able to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to use Windows-based computer systems and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event preparation and set up meeting spaces as required using event day checklists and/or data sheets.
  • Ensure all public areas and washrooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, restocking as necessary during events.
  • Perform building cleaning to meet sanitation requirements and protocols, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitizing of the building using checklists
  • Report any supply shortages/needs to the housekeeping supervisor or designate.
  • Maintain and clean equipment at all times.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Report all work hazards to Housekeeping Operations/Supervisor or designee.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns as required.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and fans.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the operations/housekeeping supervisor, the Housekeeper will perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning and sanitizing the building to standards and protocols on a daily basis and after concerts, games, and events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$17.00 CAD

About The Venue

The Temple Gardens Centre in Moose Jaw stands as southern Saskatchewan’s premier venue, encompassing 210,000 square feet of versatile space dedicated to community recreation and entertainment, boasting a 4500-seat arena, an 8-sheet curling rink with a two-tier lounge overlooking the ice, and meeting and conference spaces.

Responsibilities
