Job summary

Taylor View Towers in Red Deer, AB, is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will perform housekeeping and laundry tasks, restock supplies, and participate in orientation and move-in/out activities as needed.

The role supports our person-centered care model rooted in the Eden Alternative, emphasizing safety, quality, and respectful interactions, with opportunities for teamwork, ongoing training, and contribution to a caring

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping services preferred.
• WHMIS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning bathrooms, making beds, and cleaning common areas.
• Coordinates and assists in Move-In/Move-Out/Orientation processes for Residents.
• Inspects rooms to ensure cleaning standards are upheld.
• Notifies supervisor of any property damages, deficits, and disturbances.
• Conducts ongoing audits to maintain compliance.

Summary Statement:

The Housekeeper is responsible forproviding housekeeping and laundry services to residentsandtheCommunity.TheHousekeeperprovidesavarietyofcleaningdutieson a scheduled basis and maintains inventory of required supplies.

• Performsroutinehousekeepingdutiessuchaslaundry, cleaningbathrooms,making beds, and cleaning common areas

• Emptiesallwastereceptaclesanddepositswasteindisposalbins
• Inspectsallroomstoensurecleaningstandardsare upheld
• Notifiessuperiorsofanypropertydamages,deficits,and disturbances

ResidentSupport:25%-35%

• Providesservicesinaccordancewithbestpractices,ourWell-BeingStrategies, quality improvementguidelines, and regulations/standards
• Reportsandrespondstoconcerns/issuesastheyrelatetoserviceswithinthe Community
• EngagesinmeaningfulconversationswithResidentsandtheirlovedones

InventoryManagement: 15%-20%

• Verifiesinventorylevelsofallconsumablesand communicatestosupervisoras required
• Refillssupplyofhandsanitizers,papertowels,toilettissue,soap,anddeodorizers in the washroom

TrainingandSupport:10%-15%

• ActivelyparticipatinginCommunityLearningCircles,meetingsandevents
• Collaboratewiththeteam,includingbutnotlimitedtomanagement,families, and employee care partners tofacilitate the highest level of housekeeping service for the Resident

Health&Safety:5%-10%

• ProvidesasafeandsanitaryenvironmentforallCarePartnersandmakesevery effort to reduce safety hazards,accidents and injuries
• UnderstandsandparticipatesintheEmergencyManagementPlan,Infection Control protocol, WHMIS, and Health & Safety Wellness Strategies.
• Projectsand Assignments:
• Performsavarietyofotherprojectsandassignmentsas required.

Education
