Job summary

Taylor View Towers in Red Deer, Alberta, is seeking a Housekeeper to provide housekeeping and laundry services for residents, staff, and visitors. You will maintain a clean, safe environment and support the care team in daily operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating move-in/out activities, inspecting rooms, and ensuring cleaning standards are met while engaging with residents and their families in a respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and speaking English fluently.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative care team.

As a Housekeeper, you areresponsible for assisting with providing a welcoming environment for ourresidents, employee care partners, and visitors by ensuring our community isclean and cared for.

Summary Statement:

The Housekeeper is responsible forproviding housekeeping and laundry services to residentsandtheCommunity.TheHousekeeperprovidesavarietyofcleaningdutieson a scheduled basis and maintains inventory of required supplies.

• Performsroutinehousekeepingdutiessuchaslaundry, cleaningbathrooms,making beds, and cleaning common areas
• CoordinatesandassistsifrequiredintheMoveIn/MoveOut/Orientationprocess for Residents
• Emptiesallwastereceptaclesanddepositswasteindisposalbins
• Inspectsallroomstoensurecleaningstandardsare upheld
• Notifiessuperiorsofanypropertydamages,deficits,and disturbances
• Conductrandomongoingauditstomaintain compliance

ResidentSupport:25%-35%

• Providesservicesinaccordancewithbestpractices,ourWell-BeingStrategies, quality improvementguidelines, and regulations/standards
• Reportsandrespondstoconcerns/issuesastheyrelatetoserviceswithinthe Community
• EngagesinmeaningfulconversationswithResidentsandtheirlovedones

InventoryManagement: 15%-20%

• Verifiesinventorylevelsofallconsumablesand communicatestosupervisoras required
• Refillssupplyofhandsanitizers,papertowels,toilettissue,soap,anddeodorizers in the washroom

TrainingandSupport:10%-15%

• ActivelyparticipatinginCommunityLearningCircles,meetingsandevents
• Collaboratewiththeteam,includingbutnotlimitedtomanagement,families, and employee care partners tofacilitate the highest level of housekeeping service for the Resident

Health&Safety:5%-10%

• ProvidesasafeandsanitaryenvironmentforallCarePartnersandmakesevery effort to reduce safety hazards,accidents and injuries
• UnderstandsandparticipatesintheEmergencyManagementPlan,Infection Control protocol, WHMIS, and Health & Safety Wellness Strategies.
• Projectsand Assignments:
• Performsavarietyofotherprojectsandassignmentsas required.

Qualifications:

Education

• Grade12Diplomaorrecognizedequivalentisrequired.

Experience
