Job summary

Matrix is hiring Entry Level Housekeepers for remote camp operations near Terrace, British Columbia. You will be responsible for keeping living quarters and common areas clean to ensure the comfort and well-being of camp residents.

Ideal candidates are reliable, organized and able to work independently in a remote setting. Requirements include experience in housekeeping/janitorial, ability to follow schedules, WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Housekeepers will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of camp residents by maintaining clean living quarters and common areas. What You’ll Need

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience, preferably in a camp, industrial, hospitality, or remote site environment
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules, procedures, and sanitation standards with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of safe chemical handling, infection control, and general housekeeping practices
• WHMIS certification required or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work extended shifts and rotational schedules as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
• Strong verbal communication skills in English
• Reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Standard First Aid and CPR certification
• Food Safe certification
• Previous experience working in a mining camp, remote workforce accommodation, or similar industrial camp environment
• Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and completing institutional laundry duties
• Valid Driver’s Licence
