Job summary

Spectrum Care is hiring a House Leader to supervise a care team in a community home, providing 24-hour support to adults with disabilities. The role combines supervision with hands-on engagement in activities and personal care, under the guidance of a Service Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have experience in disability support, reliable commitment, a drivers licence, and relevant qualifications. Proficiency with basic computer tools is expected to support communications and record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team is greatly beneficial.
  • Effective report writing skills required.
  • Organising and allocating rosters.
  • Exposure to balancing general ledgers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the people you support, their families and your coordinator.
  • Active role engaging in sports, community activities, and personal cares.
  • Excellent, clear verbal and written English is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate a care team to deliver services in a community home.
  • Assist with rostering to ensure shift coverage across all hours.
  • Maintain accurate reports and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Support residents and coordinate activities in the home and in the community.
