Job summary

The Amusement Cashier role at Cineplex involves promoting an outstanding entertainment experience and handling transactions accurately in a fast-paced setting. You will educate guests on Rec Room offerings and help maximize their visit with friendly, informed service.

Candidates should have customer service experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a busy counter. Smart Serve certification is required, with varied shifts and physical tasks involved.

Responsibilities

• Promote an outstanding entertainment experience to guests.
• Maintain and stock the counter; ensure cleanliness.
• Upsell retail items and explain product functions.
• Handle cash and process transactions per procedures.
• Follow POS procedures and set up/tear down for events.
• Inform guests about pricing for events and promotions.
• Ensure guests follow site and health and safety policies.
• Address guest inquiries and relay to Supervisors.

What you will do

The Amusement Cashier will be responsible for promoting an outstanding entertainment experience to our guests in accordance with The Rec Room’s standards of operation. He/she will ensure all transactions are entered correctly adhering to Rec Room policies and procedures. The Amusement Cashier will also be well versed in the Rec Room offerings to educate guests on maximizing their visit.

Job Duties

• Ensure counter is well maintained, cleaned and well stocked.
• Delivers exceptional service and entertainment experience to guests.
• Upsell retail items as well as prizing and help the guest understand how the product functions.
• Cash handling and processing transactions in accordance with The Rec Room’s standards and The Rec Room’s cash handling procedures.
• POS procedures
• Set up and tear down for functions, events and activities
• Ensures that guests are aware of pricing for special events, promotions and daily events
• Ensure guests adhere to the site and Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Effectively handle and relay all guest inquiries, questions, and concerns to the Supervisors.
