SideFX is seeking a Houdini Learning Materials Coordinator in Toronto to create, refine, and maintain high-quality learning materials for our educational ecosystem. The role centers on producing clear, engaging instructional content and production-ready assets that support artists across multiple skill levels.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Houdini-based production or educational content development.
• Experience teaching Houdini through tutorials or workshop formats.
• Strong ability to translate technical Houdini concepts into learner-friendly content.
• Experience packaging assets and preparing release-ready scenes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio demonstrating Houdini work and learner-facing content.

Responsibilities

• Create, refine, and support Houdini learning content and assets across disciplines.
• Edit materials for publishing to ensure clarity and usability.
• Prepare and package Houdini scene files for release.
• Build and maintain downloadable course assets.
• Perform QA on learning materials prior to release.
• Review and update content for multiple Houdini versions.
• Organize learning content within content library and learning paths.
• Screen record and polish educational media components.
• Collaborate with internal teams to highlight new Houdini features.
• Assist with metadata tagging and content tracking.
• Participate in planning for upcoming learning initiatives.
