Job summary

Fairmont Waterfront, located on Vancouver's waterfront, seeks a maintenance professional to service guestrooms, public areas and heart of house. The role includes HVAC work, plumbing, and daily pool chemical checks, ensuring safety and high standards of operation.

Candidates should show strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, excellent guest service, and solid English communication. This position is full-time with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent guest service skills with an eye for detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Good command of the English language required.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair duties of guestrooms, public areas, and heart of house.
• Minor equipment repairs, HVAC servicing and filter changes.
• Caulking washrooms, bathrooms and repair and replacement of bathroom fixtures, and minor plumbing.
• Daily swimming pool test and chemical balancing when assigned.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment.
• Assist guests regarding hotel equipment (e.g. TVs) as needed.
