Silver Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Attendant for TownePlace Suites Ottawa Kanata. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure property conditions meet guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Technical experience in a recognized trade with general understanding of building maintenance.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced hotel environment is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in a team and learn/grow in this role.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• Interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Repair hotel guest rooms and facilities including kitchen, boiler, HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Carry out drywall repair, painting and general carpentry as needed.
• Regularly inspect property and report issues to the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain work area, equipment, and logbooks.
