Job summary

Silver Hotel Group is hiring a Room Attendant at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ottawa Kanata. You will promote a positive image of the property and assist guests with requests while keeping guest areas clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, making beds, replenishing supplies, assisting guests, and adhering to hotel standards. Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience is desirable but not required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and industrial equipment and cleaning materials is desirable but not required.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Stand, walk, and perform duties across an entire shift with attention to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Enters and prepares the room for cleaning.
• Makes the bed(s) according to hotel standards.
• Replenishes guestroom and bath supplies.
• Delivers and retrieves items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards.
• Performs rotation cleaning duties as required.
• Maintains work area and equipment according to hotel standards.
• Attends to guest calls, requests and complaints.
• Responsible for achieving and exceeding guest satisfaction.
