Job Description: Maintenance Technician at DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown

The DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown is situated in the heart of downtown Nashville, just a five-minute walk from Broadway's honky-tonks and bars. Nearby attractions include Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, all within half a mile. Our hotel features live music performances on Thursday through Saturday nights at our Fourth and U restaurant and bar, 343 rooms, a full-service Starbucks, and 15,000 sq. ft. of event space.

You and the engineering team will be responsible for the repair, service, and preventative maintenance of all hotel facilities, both inside and outside the building. Essential Job Functions:
  1. Deliver warm, attentive service to our guests
  2. Respond promptly to guest concerns and requests
  3. Perform proactive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas
  4. Support installation, repair, and maintenance of hotel facilities
  5. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
  6. Accurately document all maintenance activities
Physical Demands:
  1. Lift, push, pull, or rotate 50 lbs or more
  2. Operate and grasp tools with manual dexterity
  3. Climb stairs and ladders as needed
  4. Stand and walk for up to 8 hours daily
Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Trade school or technician certification is a plus

Experience:

  • At least one year of maintenance and repair experience in hotels preferred
  • Experience in general maintenance and repair required
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety and chemical standards
