Job summary

Alt Hotel Halifax Airport is seeking a caring laundry attendant who loves immaculate whiteness and ensures the comfort and wellbeing of guests by maintaining their bedding.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, and store linen, while respecting safety and hygiene regulations and contributing to a clean, safe working environment day after day. This role requires standing for long periods and flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a similar position or in the hotel industry is an asset.
• Good physical fitness: standing for long periods and ability to bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and collaborating as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort and inspect used bedding (stains, wear, damage).
• Fill and activate washing machines and dryers according to established procedures.
• Fold, hang and stack clean linen items in an organized manner to facilitate retrieval and distribution.
• Iron items as necessary to maintain a neat appearance.
• Ensure the storage and rotation of clean linen and the organization of facilities by monitoring inventory levels and reporting any malfunctions.
