Job summary

Comfort Inn Cobourg is seeking a Maintenance Worker to handle repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure hotel facilities meet standards.

You will perform painting, exterior upkeep, and minor electrical/plumbing tasks while coordinating with contractors and maintaining safety procedures.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in hotel maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years building maintenance experience, hotel environment preferred.
• Painting and plastering experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and preventative maintenance to meet hotel standards.
• Paints, patches, and maintains interior and exterior surfaces.
• Maintains exterior areas including snow removal and landscaping.
• Inspects electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems; performs minor repairs.
• Refurbishes furniture and fixtures in guestrooms.
• Coordinates with contractors and enforces safe work practices.
• Maintains accurate records and responds to guest requests professionally.
