Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Toronto is seeking a talented Accounting Manager to oversee hotel and residence accounting operations on site at 60 Yorkville Avenue. This Assistant Department Head role reports to the Assistant Director of Finance and supports general ledger, reconciliations, and financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within a hotel environment.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is an asset.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, USALI, and accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily cashier reconciliation including Credit Card reconciliation.
• Oversee Accounts Payable function and supervise team.
• Communicate billing discrepancies or payment issues to the Assistant Director of Finance.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, receiving documentation, and management approvals.
• Investigate and report invoice discrepancies as required.
• Run month-end reports and support AP closing activities.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor listing.
• Ensure monthly accruals for goods/services are prepared and recorded.
• Contribute to monthly financial reporting with accruals and journal entries.
• Support internal and external audit requests with timely information.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve outstanding items.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Finance leadership.
