Job summary

OpenTable, part of Booking Holdings, is seeking an Associate Manager, Accounting in Toronto to own a technically complex portfolio including partnership revenue, loyalty, and leases. You will lead cross-functional workstreams, coach teammates, and drive process improvements while ensuring accurate revenue recognition and balance sheet treatment under US GAAP.

The role requires strong judgment, technical depth, and the ability to navigate the organization independently, reporting to the Manager,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with US GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• CPA certification or equivalent technical accounting depth.
• Advanced Excel with complex financial modeling, lookups, and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for partnership revenue programs and revenue/expense recognition.
• Own technical accounting for evolving loyalty program and key assumptions.
• Lead accounting across leases, bad debt, prepaids, and accruals across multiple OpenTable entities (US GAAP).
• Manage close-related accounting activities: entries, reconciliations, balance sheet integrity.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams with Finance, Product, Legal, Sales, Strategy, Operations, and AP.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and support internal controls; assist auditors with positions.
• Drive process improvements to reduce manual work, improve design, and enable AI-enabled workflows.
