Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a Host to welcome guests and manage seating with a focus on creating a warm, memorable dining experience. You will coordinate seating, assist with special requests, and ensure a smooth flow in the restaurant while upholding top service and safety standards.

Position type is permanent with pay rate of 19.94/hour. Start date is August 2026, and on-site staff benefits include subsidized accommodation, meals, and comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months food and beverage experience.
• Physically fit to lift trays, stand and walk during shift.
• Proficient with POS systems (OpenTable & Silverware).

Job Description

Join our team as a Host at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and be the welcoming face of our dining experience. Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, ensuring their visit is memorable from start to finish. In this role, you'll coordinate seating, assist with special requests, and maintain a smooth and efficient flow in the restaurant, all while upholding the highest standards of service and safety.

Position Type: Permanent

Pay Rate: $19.94/hour

Start Date: August 2026

Job Duties Include

• Provide warm greeting and welcome all guests to the restaurant
• Obtain dining information from guests, such as dietary requirements or special occasions
• Coordinate the dining room's seating arrangements by planning ahead and anticipating fluctuations in business
• Seat guests in an organized fashion to maintain service flows for the Servers
