Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in Banff National Park is seeking a Host to welcome guests, coordinate seating and maintain a smooth dining flow while upholding our high standards of service and safety.

Position Type: Permanent. Pay Rate: $19.94/hour. Start Date: August 2026. The role includes subsidized on-site staff accommodation, meals, a comprehensive benefits package and travel discounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months food and beverage experience
• Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift
• Proficient with POS systems (OpenTable & Silverware)

Responsibilities

• Provide warm greeting and welcome all guests to the restaurant
• Obtain dining information from guests, such as dietary requirements or special occasions
• Coordinate the dining room's seating arrangements by planning ahead and anticipating fluctuations in business
• Seat guests in an organized fashion to maintain service flows for the Servers

Job Description

Join our team as a Host at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and be the welcoming face of our dining experience. Create a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, ensuring their visit is memorable from start to finish. In this role, you'll coordinate seating, assist with special requests, and maintain a smooth and efficient flow in the restaurant, all while upholding the highest standards of service and safety.

Job Duties Include
