Job Title: Host/Hostess

Join SSP Canada, operating several restaurants at Vancouver International Airport, including Whistler Taphouse & Grill, Lift Bar and Grill, Urban Crave, Sal y Limon, El Chiquito, and more. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and diverse culinary experiences.

Position Overview: As a Host/Hostess, you are often the first face guests see. You will:

• Make guests feel at home with warm, friendly smiles
• Respect and assist customers
• Answer questions about our restaurant and the airport

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests courteously and escort them to their tables
• Manage seating and restaurant flow
• Assist guests with children and special needs
• Present menus, answer questions, and offer food and service suggestions
• Inform staff of guest needs or issues
• Clear and reset tables at the end of each course
• Ensure guest satisfaction and thank guests upon departure

Skills & Requirements:

• Experience in retail or food service (minimum 6 months)
• High school diploma preferred
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Problem-solving abilities in customer service
• Basic math skills for cash handling
• Food handler permit as required by law
