Job summary

The City of Medicine Hat is hiring a Hospitality Lead (Kitchen Lead Cook) for a temporary on-site role starting at $21.25/hour. You will guide Back of House teams, maintain high food and service standards, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced venue.

Your leadership will ensure quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction while maintaining inventory, proper food handling, and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food service, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Successful completion or ability to obtain Alberta ProServe certification.
  • Successful completion or ability to obtain Food Safe certification.
  • Experience with inventory management, cash handling, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Concession or hospitality management training (e.g., CCM) is considered an asset.
