Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Relief Full Time Rehabilitation Assistant for Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC, working within the Medicine Unit. The role supports PT/OT-led treatment plans and collaborates with nurses to provide person-centered care.

The position emphasizes mobility, daily living assistance, and mobility testing, with opportunities to contribute to plan development and patient progress in a busy hospital setting.

Qualificações

• Completion of a Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out designated components of a rehabilitation treatment plan under supervision by PT/OT or nursing staff.
• Assist with mobility and activities of daily living as directed by therapists.
• Observe and report cognitive and functional changes to the team; document progress.
• Contribute to planning, implementation, modification and evaluation of the treatment plan.
• Assist with tests and documentation for progress with therapy sessions.
• Provide training to patients and families in mobility and daily living activities.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; assist with equipment setup and maintenance.
