Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a Nutrition Aide, Cold Food Assembly at Toronto General Hospital. The role involves assembling meals on the cold beltline, stocking items, and maintaining the workstation in a fast-paced Nutrition Services department.

You will work up to 24 hours per week, including weekends and statutory holidays, with a start wage of $27.76–$28.58 per hour. The position is permanent part-time, reports to the Manager of Nutrition Services, and requires a high school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Food Handler’s/Hygiene Certificate (on the job certification provided).
• 3 months to less than 6 months practical and related experience and/or 1 month to less than 3 months on the job training.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to read/understand verbal work orders and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble meals on the cold assembly beltline as per meal ticket requests.
• Retrieve, stock and set up food items and supplies at workstations.
• Disassemble, clean and maintain the workstation and beltline area.
• Transport carts to receiving and elevators/units.
• Perform cross-functional duties as assigned and/or required.
• Perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.
