Job summary

Humber River Health is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join the Food Services team at the Wilson Site in Toronto. The role supports patient meal service, tray assembly, and dietary accommodations in a fast-paced hospital kitchen.

The candidate will work rotating shifts (6:30am-2:30pm, 7:00am-3:00pm, 11:30am-7:30pm and/or 4:00pm-8:00pm) including alternating weekends, with a wage range of $27.758–$28.306 per hour. A positive attitude and strong customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or higher education required.
• Good command of the English language (reading/writing test administered).
• Knowledge of HACCP or safe food handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tray passing, diet changes and preparation and portioning of food items as necessary.
• Regular cleaning and sanitation of work areas and department equipment.
• Washing dishes and cooking equipment in dish room and pot wash.
• Removing garbage, recycling and slop from the department.
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals used in the department.
• Ensuring all kitchen areas are stocked with clean wares as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.
