Job summary

Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is seeking an Environmental Service Representative at the Centenary Site. You will join a busy team responsible for high-quality cleanliness across the hospital, including regular floor care and sanitization to maintain aseptic conditions.

Hours include days, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays; the position is permanent, part-time with five openings. Prior cleaning experience is an asset and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and follow directions in English.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Physical capability to perform duties as outlined by the physical demands.
• Commitment to SHN's Code of Conduct and health & safety policy.
• Diligence, reliability; highly punctual.
• Demonstrated professionalism and strong work outputs.
• Ability to speak another language (asset).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of hospital areas by scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming and polishing.
• Operate heavy scrubbing machines and carpet extractor as needed.
• Set up and remove furniture for events and office moves.
• Ensure the department remains clean, sanitary and aseptic.
