Job summary

Scarborough Health Network is seeking an Environmental Service Representative to join our busy team. You will perform cleaning tasks to maintain sanitary and aseptic conditions across hospital areas, including use of heavy cleaning equipment and event setups.

This role requires teamwork, reliability and a strong focus on safety. We value clear communication, professionalism and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and follow directions in English.
• Demonstrates ability to work well in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to use protective equipment and adhere to safety policies.

Responsibilities

You will be required to work shifts to regularly keep assigned areas clean, sanitary, and aseptic by: scouring, scrubbing, mopping, polishing, using germicides, wet dusting and vacuuming. You will wash walls, ceilings, lights, vents, doors, windows and frames. You will use heavy scrubbing machines and carpet extractor during major cleaning. You will be responsible to set up and remove furniture for special events and for office moves.
