Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking an Environmental Services staff member for the Crowsnest Pass Health Centre. You will perform cleaning and disinfection in clinical and non-clinical areas to maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients, residents, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, restocking, linen handling, operating cleaning equipment and waste management. Grade 10 or equivalent required; basic computer skills and ability to lift up to 25 lbs are

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Occasional PPE use required (mask, eye protection, gloves, gowns).

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors.
• Restock bathroom supplies.
• Strip linen and make beds.
• Operate cleaning equipment for floor maintenance.
• Wash ceilings and windows.
• Empty hazardous waste.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and linens.
• Report hazards to supervisor and assist training of staff.
