Job description

Survey and assess designated projects and jobsites. Responsible for constructing and maintaining gardens. Plan jobs effectively to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness. Use and operate tools and equipment used in horticulture. Plant seeds and transplant seedlings. Examine and treat trees, shrubs, and plants. Care for growing plants by watering, pruning, weeding, cultivating, and removing dead or damaged tissue. Inspect, handle, and transport nursery stock. Spread topsoil and lay sod. Perform plant fertilization and watering. Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges. Conduct general lawn and garden maintenance. Operate power mowers, push mowers, tractors, blowers, electric clippers, pruning saws, and other landscape maintenance equipment. Perform manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, shop, and equipment. Assist with landscape construction when needed. Complete daily paperwork to track job time and material costs. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Comply with all company policies, regulations, and local health and safety laws. Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.
