Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a Homemaker in Vancouver to perform cleaning duties for resident and shelter spaces, under the Site Manager’s guidance. The role supports Lookout’s mission and adheres to our Code of Ethics.
The position is part-time and temporary, with 7.5‑hour shifts. Respirator fit testing is required since Lookout is COR certified, and workers must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements, including being clean-shaven for respirator seals.

Friday through Saturday
Shift times will be 1000 - 1800 Hours
Sunday through Monday
Shift times will be 0800 - 1600 Hours
Shifts are 7.5hours in length
Days of rest shall be consecutive. Schedule may change with two weeks’ notice
Probationary/qualifying period will be 488 hours with mid and end point reviews
$23.89 - 25.54 depending upon applicants' length of seniority (as per the Collective Agreement)
The Homemaker reports to the Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society including following Lookout’s Code of Ethics. The Homemaker performs a variety of cleaning duties ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of resident and/or shelter rooms and communal areas.
This position requires successful completion of respirator fit testing, as Lookout is COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified and must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements. To ensure a proper respirator seal during fit testing and use, employees are required to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals against the face.
