Job summary

ParaMed is offering a new paid Home Support Worker program for the Muskoka area. You will assist clients to live safely at home by supporting daily tasks and self-care, with a three-week in-class training provided.

Upon graduation, you will be eligible for full-time hours and benefits. The role involves traveling between patients, preparing meals, light housekeeping, companionship, personal care, and support for daily living needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to travel to patients' residences within a designated area.
  • Willingness to work every other weekend.
  • Experience with seniors is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Criminal background screening required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Travel between patients completing home visits daily.
  • Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes.
  • Perform basic housekeeping tasks.
  • Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients.
  • Assist with personal hygiene including showers and bathing.
  • Support activities of daily living.
