Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a Home Support Worker to assist community members in living safely at home. You will travel between patients, prepare meals, and provide companionship while performing daily living tasks.

A three-week training program leads to full-time hours and benefits. We offer strong training, flexible scheduling, health and dental benefits, a company device, mileage reimbursement, and education opportunities (PSW bridging paid by ParaMed).

Qualifications

• Compassion and listening skills
• Experience with seniors is an asset
• Willingness to visit patients' residences
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening
• Previous experience performing personal hygiene care is an asset

Responsibilities

• Travel from patient to patient completing several home visits per day
• Prepare meals and assist with meal-time
• Basic housekeeping duties
• Provide companionship and support the well-being of patients
• Assist with personal hygiene care including showering and bathing
• Support for basic activities of daily living
