Job summary

ParaMed in Edmonton is seeking a Clinical Unregulated Care Provider Supervisor to oversee HCAs, PSWs and HSWs delivering home care in the community. You will assess, implement and evaluate clinical interventions to ensure safe, high-quality care and compliance with standards.

You will lead staff with regular check-ins, coordinate documentation, and support patient safety through investigations. A driver’s license and Alberta licensing are required; the role offers opportunities for career growth

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RPN registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta and entitled to practice without restrictions.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team.
• Comprehensive patient health assessment skills are required.
• Knowledge of community nursing practice principles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support HCA's, PSW's and HSW's to ensure practices comply with standards and policies.
• Respond to and advise/resolve concerns from community staff, patients/families, and team members.
• Provide ongoing leadership through regular huddles, meetings and one-on-ones.
• Initiate patient safety incident investigations and document actions.
• Collaborate with nursing to support clinical documentation and funder reporting guidelines.
• Engage patients in problem solving, health teaching and building rapport to identify care needs.
• Mentor staff through education and coaching to resolve problems.
• Maintain knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective home care service.
