Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care - Halton is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our Milton, ON team. You will provide essential in-home care, support with ADLs, companionship, and help clients maintain independence with dignity.

Experience as a PCA/PSW is preferred, with a PSW certificate or equivalent training. CPR/First Aid certification, reliable transportation, and strong English communication are required or to be obtained. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

Must have PSW certificate or equivalent training.
Strong English communication skills (reading, writing and speaking).
Ability to pass PSW/HHA assessments.
Pass DEARS assessment and have CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Access to reliable transportation to travel to client homes.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
Provide companionship and emotional support in clients' homes.
Support mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
Monitor and report changes in client health to supervisors.
Accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands or transportation.
Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
