The role emphasizes bathing, dressing, meal support, medication assistance as needed, plus companionship and light housekeeping. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred to reach client homes.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent certificate.
• Meets passing criteria on PCA skills test.
• Meets passing criteria on DEARS test (Drugs and Ethics test).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care tasks.
• Provide companionship and respite services for family; perform light homemaking tasks.
• Assist with medications that the client self-administers.
• Support meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
