Job summary

Vancouver Christmas Market seeks an energetic Event Site Operations and Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of the market setup, operations, and teardown in Vancouver's Jack Poole Plaza. You will coordinate load-in/load-out, security, and vendor contracts while maintaining safety and efficiency during the seasonal event.

The role requires 5+ years in event operations, strong negotiation and planning skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in event production, operations, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of event logistics, security protocols, and production requirements.
• Proven experience managing large teams, including contractors and third-party vendors.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid Driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage load-in/load-out logistics, ensuring timelines and safety compliance.
• Develop production schedules and operational plans for the event.
• Coordinate large-scale transportation logistics of assets to/from the event site, with possible overnight stays.
• Supervise on-site teams, contractors, and vendors for seamless execution.
• Manage Governmental and city relations (licensing, permits, health dept, etc.).
• Create and implement security protocols, crowd management, and emergency response plans.
• Oversee asset inventory, procurement, and deliveries with intercompany teams.
• Coordinate planning with internal teams and manage event budgets and vendor contracts.
