Job summary

Magna Mining Inc. is seeking experienced Hoist Operators to join our team at Levack Mine. As a direct employee with Magna Mining, employees on fixed-term contracts are eligible for benefits and RRSP contributions during the fixed term period.

All Magna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence. Hourly Rate: $42.14.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner - Common Core.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate hoist to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials and personnel.
• Perform pre-operational and routine inspections of hoisting equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, operational, and compliant with Ontario mining regulations and safety standards before use.
• Review, maintain, and accurately complete hoist logs and inspection records.
• Follow all safety regulations, site procedures, and approved signaling methods.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other stakeholders.
• Identify, report, and document equipment malfunctions, defects, or safety hazards.
• Monitor equipment for wear, damage, and compliance with safety requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas around hoist equipment.
