Job summary

Clean Harbors in Provost, AB is seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in a permanent full-time role, supporting internal and external customer requests and coordinating travel logistics. This high-volume position requires quick decision-making and strong communication across divisions.

You will oversee the seasonal labor pool, assist with onboarding and training, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering reliable scheduling and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous high-volume dispatching experience in oil and gas or transportation.
• Customer service based background required.
• Proficient in Windows-based applications; Microsoft Excel is required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and make independent decisions.
• Working hours can be 8 to 12 hours per day in the office.

Responsibilities

• Assist branch manager with hiring and onboarding of temp/seasonal labour pool employees; submission of workflows and Driver applications, maintaining personnel files and system databases;
• Schedules and assigns training as required;
• Acts as an available resource/ liaison for all labour pool employees; assists with navigating online training and system access issues;
• Updates and maintains training records; data entries into the Learning Management System;
• Takes all phone calls from employees and other internal customers in a professional manner; fosters strong relationships with all customers;
• Dispatches daily schedules and coordinates travel for employees; ensures hours of service and policy compliance; maintains PPE inventory.
