Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor – Substation & Transmission Line to provide field-based engineering and construction support for high‑voltage projects on a 12 to 15 month contract in Canada.

The successful candidate will act as WSP’s primary on-site field representative, conducting engineering field observations, coordinating with the Engineer of Record, and ensuring compliance with ITPs, QA/QC and safety requirements while supporting civil/structural works and electrical

Qualifications

Bachelor's or diploma in structural/civil engineering or related field.
10–15 years of construction field experience on HV substations or transmission lines.
Experience with earthworks, concrete foundations, and steel erection.
Ability to read IFC civil/structural/electrical drawings and specs.
Knowledge of ITPs, Hold Points, NCRs, RFIs, and QA/QC processes.
Excellent field record-keeping and communication with EOR team.

Responsibilities

Serve as on-site field representative for substation and transmission line construction.
Observe and document construction against IFC drawings, specs, and ITPs.
Coordinate with engineer/EOR on field deviations requiring review.
Review QA/QC records, test results, surveys, and construction docs.
Maintain field records including reports and photos.
Support as-built and Record Documentation through closure.
