Job summary

GHD is seeking a High Voltage Engineering Lead or Technical Director to join the Energy team in Canada. This role leads the energy and T&D-substation delivery across Canada, liaising with clients and supporting the US, based out of one of our Ontario offices in Waterloo, Mississauga, Markham, Toronto or Whitby.

You will mentor teams and drive project delivery in transmission, distribution, substations, grid optimization, and power generation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• Professional licensure (P.Eng.) in Ontario is preferred or eligible.
• Strong leadership and client-management skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary HV design teams on large projects.
• Own client engagement, proposals, and delivery of HV design for substations and grid projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards; coordinate with stakeholders and approvals.
