The Opportunity

ILAC International High School in Vancouver, part of ILAC Education Group, aims to prepare students for university, college, and careers with a focus on diversity, academic English, and confidence building. We seek a passionate high school teacher to inspire students and foster a positive learning environment. Classes start in September 2025, with a short orientation in late August 2025.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver the BC Modernized Curriculum (Grades 10-12) using a student-centered, inquiry-based, and collaborative approach.
2. Create a positive and supportive learning culture.
3. Collaborate across the school to enhance classroom and co-curricular experiences.
4. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations per the Growing Success document.
5. Promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice.
6. Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

Qualifications

1. B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate of Qualification or Independent School teaching certificate.
2. Relevant post-secondary education.
3. Experience teaching Math and Science at the senior level.
4. AP experience is an asset.
5. English as a Second Language teaching experience is an asset.
6. Commitment to professional teaching standards.
7. Collaborative, energetic teaching approach.
8. Awareness of diverse learning styles, core competencies, and First Peoples Principles of Learning.
