We have an exciting opportunity for an educator experienced in teaching Senior Math (Math 10, Pre-calculus 11, 12, Calculus 12)

As a teacher in our high school division, your key responsibilities include:

• Creating an engaging and dynamic environment that supports student learning
• Contributing to the fantastic culture and community of VCS by working cooperatively with colleagues and participating in staff engagement and worship activities
• Participating fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day
• Being flexible and open to teaching additional courses
• Participating in professional development that supports the ongoing pursuit of excellence in educational pedagogy and teaching through the lens of a Christian worldview
• Specific duties: work cooperatively with colleagues within his/her department and across the school; participate fully in student-learning and extra-curricular activities outside of the school day; may also be called on to teach additional courses

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor of Education
• Experience teaching senior-level math courses (such as Calculus 12) and science courses is an asset
• Strong working understanding of differentiated instruction as it applies to teaching
• Strong working knowledge of current pedagogy, sound assessment practices and learning empowered by technology
• Must have a certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch of the BC Ministry of Education
• Is familiar with the BC Ministry of Education curriculum

Annual salary range

$61,950 to $110,641 per school year (dependent on education, qualifications and experience; pro-rated for part-time teachers)
