1.0 FTE High School Math Teacher

Location: Father Patrick Mercredi Catholic High School

Start Date: August 25th, 2025

Closing Date: Open Until Filled

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a full-time 1.0 FTE High School Math Teacher at Father Patrick Mercredi Catholic High School starting August 25th, 2025.

Duties of teachers may include, but are not limited to:
  1. Identify students' individual and collective learning needs
  2. Plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
  3. Provide a stimulating learning environment for growth and potential development
  4. Help students learn knowledge, skills, and attitudes
  5. Meet with parents
  6. Evaluate and communicate student progress
  7. Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
  8. Meet with other professionals to discuss student needs and progress
  9. Volunteer for extracurricular and after-school activities
  10. Attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree, preferably with a focus/major in mathematics
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Organized, able to meet deadlines
  • Committed to education and enthusiastic about working with students
