Job summary

Oxford Learning St. Albert is seeking a part‑time teacher‑tutor to provide after‑school and evening instruction in mathematics and science to students in grades 9‑12. The role is fully pre‑planned; teachers receive comprehensive training in our proprietary methodologies.

In‑person only; schedule includes 4:00 pm–8:00 pm weekdays and some Saturdays. Commitment through June preferred; summer extension desirable. Applicants must reside near St.

Position Summary

Oxford Learning is seeking a part‑time teacher‑tutor to provide after‑school and evening instruction in mathematics and science to students in grades 9‑12. The role is fully pre‑planned; teachers receive comprehensive training in our proprietary methodologies.

Position Requirements

Work hours: 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm weekdays, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Saturdays (some). Commitment through June preferred; summer extension desirable. In‑person only; must be able to commute to St. Albert. Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field.
  • University students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of Grades 9‑12 math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors) and science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
Experience
  • Teaching or tutoring experience at the Grade 9‑12 level.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Solid math skills and ability to guide student understanding.
  • Ability to multitask and manage up to three students simultaneously.
