Job summary

Enersolv Design + Build Ltd. in Burnaby, BC, is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to manage a high-rise construction crew.

You will plan, lay out, install and wire electrical systems in accordance with drawings, codes, and project requirements, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. You will supervise journeymen and apprentices, read blueprints, test circuits, and coordinate with general contractors and other trades.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years experience in high-rise electrical works.
• Red Seal Certificate.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• Solid knowledge of the construction process.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently; ensure quality on first pass.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders and lighting fixtures.
• Test electrical equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers and meters.
• Troubleshoot and repair low voltage control systems and related devices.
• Coordinate with the general contractor’s site superintendent; assign tasks to site workers.
• Ensure resources are available and deadlines are met; contribute to safety and quality control.
