Job summary

SKYGRiD is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in Hamilton, ON to support high-rise construction projects. You will coordinate with laborers and subcontractors, ensure design, budget, and schedule compliance, and uphold safety and quality standards on site.

You will oversee administrative tasks, monitor progress with the Superintendent, and help manage calendars, reporting, and site documentation while liaising with city officials as required.

Qualifications

• Construction-related university degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction high-rise experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural drawings.
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling, cost control, safety regulations, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of Tarion and B19 requirements is an asset.
• Ability to communicate clearly with others and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Superintendent in overseeing high-rise construction projects.
• Coordinate with laborers and subcontractors to meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Maintain quality and safety on the construction site.
• Develop and manage construction plans and supervise subcontractor activities.
• Attend meetings with consultants and subtrades and report progress to stakeholders.
