Job summary

SKYGRiD Construction is seeking a Field Coordinator in Hamilton, ON to manage administrative work for the on-site construction management team and assist site supervision. This entry-level opportunity focuses on training and development with frontline exposure to field operations.

You will complete daily journals, issue POs, coordinate drawings, RFIs, SI, and CDs with trades and consultants, and help maintain schedules and safety records. Travel to job sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills are essential.
  • A sense of urgency.
  • Good organizational skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Strong initiative.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Completing daily journal entries.
  • Issuing Purchase Orders for all material suppliers.
  • Coordinating, maintaining and notifying relevant team members of current records of drawings and consultant revision notices.
  • Distributing the latest versions of drawings to trades.
  • Tracking, logging and distribution of Request for Information (RFI), Supplemental information (SI), Construction Documents (CD) to all trades and follow up with consultants.
  • Recording site minutes.
  • Ensuring trades receive the current schedule as updated by the Superintendent and Project Managers monthly.
  • Understanding the scheduling sequence and providing breakout schedules if required.
  • Assisting the Assistant Superintendent(s) and Superintendent(s) with project tasks.
  • Supporting site management staff with various administrative duties.
  • Ensuring accurate filing and creation of photo diaries.
  • Photos are to be taken daily of site progress and inserted into daily site reports for tracking and documentation purposes.
  • Compiling and confirming daily laborer timesheets and subcontractor work performed on T&M.
  • Maintaining and organizing files for all purchasers’ suite customization and colour choices.
  • Logging and tracking Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to and from trades and supporting Assistant Superintendent(s) with reviews.
  • Tracking and managing site equipment and small equipment rentals.
  • Tracking and recording concrete and rebar counts.
  • Tracking, printing, and distributing deficiencies for trades to complete, and ensuring completion of deficiencies.
  • Assisting with creating a safe work environment throughout the jobsite and adhering to the safety and record keeping requirements.
  • Participating in toolbox meetings, safety meetings and safety training
  • Other duties, as required.

Pay Transparency:

The estimated salary range for this role is $60,000- $80,000.
