Job summary

Sureway Construction Group seeks a Working Field Foreman/Dispatcher (Off Road HET) in Edmonton. You will lead maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy equipment in the field while coordinating 10–12 technicians and welders to meet project timelines.

Requires 5–10 years of journeyman experience, Off Road HDM, and CAT ET/SIS or Komatsu familiarity. Strong organizational and safety leadership are essential to succeed on site in a busy Alberta shop environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) with Red Seal – Off Road
• 5–10 years of journeyperson experience
• Off Road HDM experience is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT E.T. and SIS or Komatsu is REQUIRED
• Experience reading hydraulic/electronic schematics
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Maintain heavy equipment to the highest standards and ensure availability
• Perform preventive, planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs
• Oversee field technicians and dispatch 10–12 personnel
• Dispatch to meet schedules and timelines
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with the company's program

Working Field Foreman/ Dispatcher- Off Road HET (Journeyperson)

Schedule 10+ Hours per day (day shift), 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week

Working Field Foreman/ Dispatcher Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician HET with Red Seal - Off Road or equivalent
• Must have between five (5) and ten (10) years' Journeyperson experience
• Off Road HDM experience is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT E.T. and S.I.S. and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED
• Experience with CAT Scrapers is Beneficial
• Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED

Working Field Foreman/ Dispatcher Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, and in a timely manner, resulting in proper function and availability.
• Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards.
• Oversee, supervise, and manage the day to day operations of our heavy equipment technicians in the field.
• Dispatching of 10-12 field heavy equipment technicians and welders to ensure schedules and timelines are met.
• Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
