Job description

Job Title: Visitor Experience Associate at Badlands Historical Centre

Join us for a rewarding summer opportunity! We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to enhance visitors' experiences at the Badlands Historical Centre by sharing local history and museum displays through guided tours and interactive activities.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Engaging with visitors, providing information about Drumheller's history and displays, and conducting guided tours.
  2. Hosting family games and offering child-friendly activities, both on-site and take-home.
  3. Upselling products, raffle tickets, and gifts, and encouraging participation in activities.
  4. Providing directions to nearby attractions.
  5. Maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the museum, including floors, cabinets, washrooms, and the outdoor area to ensure an inviting environment.
  6. Addressing concerns and recording messages promptly in the communication book.
  7. Identifying and reporting issues or broken items immediately to the supervisor or designated personnel.
  8. Participating in research projects and staying engaged with daily tasks.

Required skills for success:

  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with others, sharing resources, and resolving conflicts.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with visitors, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Digital skills: Proficiency with digital tools and systems, including computers, software, and mobile devices.
