Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse, Hemodialysis to join the Renal Services - Hemo Dialysis team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital in Abbotsford, BC.

Post-graduate nephrology education is preferred; Fraser Health offers sponsorship through an in-house program affiliated with BC Renal. LPN will support care across pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis in a collaborative nephrology setting.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an approved Practical Nursing program.
• Current BC College of Nurses and Midwives registration and CPR Level C/First Aid.
• Minimum 1 year recent related experience in acute care as LPN.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis.
• Collaborate with RN and nephrology team in care planning.
• Set care priorities and respond to changing patient needs within scope of practice.
• Educate patients to understand their care plan and disease management.
• Document care and administer medications per policies.
