Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse, Hemodialysis at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre in Abbotsford, BC. The role supports pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis care within a nephrology team.

Applicants should have post-basic education in nephrology or willingness to pursue Specialty Education through an in-house program. Fraser Health offers sponsorship for RN/LPN specialty education and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires RN/ LPN licensure with current practicing registration.
• Post-graduate education in Nephrology (Hemodialysis-Renal) preferred or interest in pursuing Specialty Education.
• Experience in acute care settings and ability to work in a nephrology team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care during dialysis periods.
• Collaborate with RN and nephrology team for care planning and input in meetings.
• Establish priorities and adapt to changing patient needs within scope of practice.
• Educate patients on care plans and chronic disease management.
• Document care, ensure patient safety, and maintain infection control standards.
• Assist in orientation and education of new staff and students.
