Job summary

Wajax is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, engines, and components in shop and field settings. You will service equipment on-site, communicate with customers, and maintain accurate service records and warranties.

The candidate should hold a Journeyman Red Seal or be in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program, with 2–3 years of experience and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Trade certification or Journeyman Red Seal required or currently registered in a related Provincial Apprenticeship program.
• 2–3 years of work experience in heavy equipment service or repair.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service orientation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
• Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site for customers.
• Recondition and remanufacture components as required for equipment, engine and hydraulic repairs.
• Maintain service records and complete paperwork, including warranties.
• Participate in training and health & safety programs.
