Job summary

Leavitt Machinery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is seeking a dedicated Shop Technician (Heavy Equipment Mechanic) to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of material handling equipment for our customers. You will diagnose issues, complete service orders, and coordinate with the Shop team to deliver reliable fixes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of heavy equipment repair, a Red Seal or journeyperson ticket, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of heavy equipment repair experience.
• Red Seal or journeyperson ticket or relevant certification.
• Experience with hydraulics and servicing electric engines is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance on material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair equipment in a timely manner with options for customers.
• Track parts for ongoing service jobs.
• Complete work order forms and communicate with Shop team.
• Identify maintenance opportunities and follow warranty processes.
